Opportunities for Students
ABS is currently accepting student applicants
Through the application and integration of theoretical knowledge, to treatment of community members and the chronically ill population, practicum students learn:
- Individual Therapy with Chronic and High-functioning Outpatients
- Group Therapy
- Intensive Outpatient Program (Temporarily Discontinued due to COVID)
- Family and Couples Therapy
- Crisis Intervention and Prevention
- DSM-V Diagnosis Classification
The ideal candidate must be clinically astute, be able to work independently, and demonstrate an ability to multi-task. Master’s Degree preferred. Potential candidates should submit a Resume, Cover Letter, and two letters of recommendation
Internship/Practicum Requirements
- Resume or CV

- Two letters of recommendation
- Letter of school approval to begin internship
- Contact information of director of training
- 20-25 hours per week
- Participate in one hour per week of individual supervision
- Two hours of weekly didactics, every Tuesday
- Saturdays and Tuesdays are mandatory
- Follow the code of conduct according to the student handbook
